Merlin is a brand of the Chamberlain Group, the world's largest manufacturer of automatic garage door openers and Australia's largest manufacturer of commercial garage door openers. Their global experience and innovation has resulted in industry leading designs and some of the most reliable and efficient products available in Australia and New Zealand.

Objectives

As more commercial garage door opener manufacturers surfaced in the last 10 years, Merlin wanted to re-strengthen their reputation as the leader in their field. They assigned The Website Marketing Group to revitalize their website, build their online presence and allow them to connect with their long-time customers through modern channels. 

Solutions

The strategy we developed for Merlin puts the website at the centre of their marketing, but integrates it with a robust online campaign that includes the revitalisation of their customer service and customer engagement components. Merlin continues to use traditional advertising platforms, so we made sure to optimise the results they get by complementing it with a robust online marketing engine.

The new Merlin website is distinctively customer- and service-oriented. The main contact number is prominently displayed in the upper part of the home page, boosting the credibility and accessibility of the team. The site is clearly organized into the six major categories: Products, About Us, News, Contact Us, Support and Dealer Centre.

The theme is elegant white and grey, all framed by the lively green colour of Merlin’s logo and brand identity. Crisp, classic and no-nonsense, the aesthetics of the website reflect the dependability and straightforward service provided by Merlin.

One of the most stand-out features of the website is the Products page. The Products page is more than just an online catalogue: it is an interactive, innovative item selector that helps visitors easily determine their options according to their specific needs and requirements. The interactive product selector works like a guided path to purchase and a customer support system in one.   

Fresh, updated content is necessary for consistent search rankings and online visibility, so we installed a content management system (CMS) to make sure the Merlin staff will be able to add or update their website content efficiently. Text, images and some coding can be easily managed via the CMS, without the need for a developer.

Through the online marketing strategy developed by The Website Marketing Group, Merlin continues to enjoy high search rankings and a consistent stream of relevant traffic from their target market. Their website serves as their sales funnel, allowing customers and interested visitors to easily find the information they are looking for, helping them make more confident purchases.
