TWMG Wins Web Design Contract for Sydney Children's Hospitals Network

SYDNEY — Web development and digital marketing agency TWMG was recently awarded an Intranet redesign contract for the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network. The project will include design revisions and full device testing and implementation of the user interface.

Hospital information systems provide a number of advantages for medical institutions experiencing an explosion in information involving staff and patient data as well as medical knowledge. Intranets enable hospital systems to accomplish important processes: managing administrative data, handling inpatient and outpatient medical records (including medical images), keeping track of patient bed reservations and visits, plotting staff schedules, providing remote access, organising emails, and managing pharmacy orders are some examples.

An efficient and fully customised digital provision such as this would be a valuable asset to the Sydney Children's Hospitals Network, which includes The Children's Hospital at Westmead and Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick, as well as the Newborn and Paediatric Emergency Transport Service, the Pregnancy and Newborn Services Network and the Children's Court Clinic.

TWMG is tasked with creating a fresh new design for the Children's Hospitals Information Management Portal or CHIMP. The portal provides access to the system's key features: Standard Reports, Adhoc Reporting, Dashboards, Risk Management, Strategic Direction, Performance Appraisals, Data Entry and Resources & Tools.

The design, to be put together by TWMG's team of fully qualified and highly experienced Web specialists, will be compatible with a number of variations of all modern browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, FireFox and Safari), as well as responsive to enable seamless display in smartphones, tablets and computers (both Apple iOS and Android) for excellent accessibility. Four versions of each breakpoint will be created, and top navigation will be the primary consideration for the prototype design.
