Mental Health Commission

The NSW Mental Health Commission was established in July 2012 for the purpose of monitoring, reviewing and improving the NSW mental health system. The Commission has a clear mandate to work across government and other service providers to drive reform across the mental health sector. In doing so, the Commission operates as a bridge between services to identify new ways they can work together to help people live well in the community.
As a newly established body, the NSW Mental Health Commission needed a web presence – and fast.
They approached TWMG after a word of mouth referral from another government department. The Commission needed a website that would function as their information centre as they built up their infrastructure and also helped them in that task. They needed a web presence for prospective employees to find them. They also needed to present many publications to their diverse stakeholders, in a user-friendly way, and it all needed to fit their budget and timeframe.
TWMG promptly provided the Mental Health Commission with a website that fulfilled the original objectives within the original website budget. The site has been a great success with a large volume of site visits due to the prominent role The Commission plays in NSW, and the high search engine ranking achieved by TWMG. The website helped the Commission to advertise openings in the careers section, update news in the live news feed, and disseminate their publications on the website and as PDF downloads. The online contact tool allowed users to easily and if needed anonymously make contact and also provided important links to mental health services, emergency contacts, and to lodge complaints.
The website facilitated the growth of the Mental Health Commission in its early stages, and now the Commission is ready to expand its operations.
