Munch Express

Website Development, SME

Client

Munch Express has more than 25 years of experience in the mobile food van industry and now operates over 60 vans all around Sydney. They offer door-to-door delivery of daily hygienic packaged food, providing the city’s workforce with a wide variety of choice and nutrition without needing to leave their work premises and allowing them to get the most from their meal breaks.

Munch Express delivers all kinds of catered food, from vegetarian dishes to meat specialties, light snacks to hearty meals. They specialise in freshly made sandwiches, wraps, rolls and salads, as well as a selection of hot meals, hot rolls, pies and sausage rolls. They also provide a great selection of icy cold drinks, cakes and snacks for that afternoon pick me up.

Objectives

Munch Express wanted to make ordering easier and more efficient for their customers. They needed an online hub that will be a one-stop source of information about their offers, such as their daily menus, catering packages and promotions.

The Website Marketing Group was asked to develop a website for the Munch Express that will not only inform, but entice their target audience to make an order for their next meal.

Solutions

The Website Marketing Group created a website that showcases the freshly prepared and delightful goodies from Munch Express. Aside from highlighting the taste and nutrition of the food items, the website was also designed to emphasize the fast and reliable delivery services that Munch Express provides.

The website’s main colour was bright red, which according to psychology stimulates the appetite, and also made the white font used for the Munch Express logo stand out. Pops of white and green balanced the entire look of the site. Professionally rendered, high-resolution photos of their offerings plated in an appetising manner further fuelled interest and compelled visitors to dial up for their food delivery services.

Information was provided in a straightforward and intuitive manner. Tabs that lead to inside pages such as Menu, Catering, Promotions and Request a Munch Express Van are neatly displayed on the topmost area of the homepage. Hotline numbers and online forms are also prominently displayed for easy ordering and enquiries.

The website runs on a custom search engine optimisation strategy to push the project’s online marketing component. A content management system was installed to give the Munch Express staff the option to make fast, easy and independent edits and updates of site content.

Results

The new Munch Express website immediately became a hit to its target market. High-impact colours, appetising photos and informative content allowed their audience to view options, and plan for their next order or refer the service to employers and colleagues.

Since the website went live, the number of orders spiked and the increase in sales eventually became a sustained development that continuously provided growth and profit for the business.
