TWMG Awarded Website Redevelopment Contract for the National Assessment Program

TWMG Awarded Website Redevelopment Contract for the National Assessment Program

TWMG was recently appointed to redevelop the official website for the National Assessment Program, (NAP), the government program that provides the system for governments, education authorities and schools to measure and determine educational standards in Australia.

This is not the first that TWMG will be handling a website project for a national education authority. Earlier this year, the digital agency also embarked on a major website redesign for the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

Current National Assessment Program (NAP) website to be redeveloped by TWMG

The website for NAP is also one of the many digital projects that TWMG has handled for government institutions over the years. TWMG's long list of clients include public agencies, national organisations, state-run offices and industry authorities, all of which are now able to serve their audiences better with their more user-friendly websites.

Improving user experience will likewise be the main focus of the website redevelopment for NAP. The main objective of the website is to be a reliable source of relevant, updated and comprehensive information for education and testing stakeholders in the country. While the existing website already offers this information, a newer, smarter and more user-oriented strategy is absolutely critical to promote wider reach and more efficient valuable delivery.

To realise this vision, TWMG will be working on fine-tuning both the form and functionality of the site. The inspiration behind the new look of the site will be based on scientific Web design principles that confirm appealing visuals have a direct impact to the usefulness, relevance and value of the content.

The team is currently overhauling the theme, layout and features to come up with a more intelligent information architecture. The aim is to allow for clearer navigation and a look that's easy on the eyes. An SEO component will be added and social media integration to be installed, to make the website become more visible and to instil collaboration among educators, policy makers, testing agencies, students and parents.

Like all recent websites designed by TWMG, the NAP website will be engineered to be mobile-responsive. Moreover, it will be developed to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), to make it more accessible to a wide range of users, including individuals with disabilities, across various levels of user knowledge and capability.

The entire site wil be running on Sitefinity, a modern ASP.NET Web content management system that delivers intuitive content management and customer analytics for business professionals and enterprises.

“We are very proud to be digital partners of the National Assessment Program. Like NAP, our agency values efficient and reliable information delivery, access to education and opportunities to enrich one's life with knowledge, skills and values that help not just the individual but the community as well,” says Michael Doyle, MD of The Website Marketing Agency.

“TWMG thrives on achievement and excellence, and the high-performing website we are building for NAP showcases exactly what we and our clients stand for,” Doyle added.

About NAP

The National Assessment Program (NAP) provides the measure through which governments, education authorities and schools can determine whether or not young Australians are meeting important educational outcomes. The NAP is run at the direction of the Education Council.
